Keywords:Arduino  DIY  MCU  licensing program

The latest Arduino licensing program allows products developed within the Arduino ecosystem to carry its logo and receive its support. Called "Arduino at Heart," it allows people to be part of the Arduino community officially, receiving support and promotion from the firm.

Making a name for itself in the DIY community, almost everyone has one, and tons of projects are made with them every day. One of the reasons behind this success is because of its massive community whose members have produced detailed tutorials and documentation to help get any project done.

Several companies have already signed up, such as littleBits Electronics, Smart Citizen, Bare Conductive, Aesthetic Studio, Primo.io and EarthMake. By being completely Arduino-compatible and Arduino-branded they will benefit from having this entire community supporting their products immediately. The tutorials and existing projects concerning Arduino will help people to use these compatible products fully.

MCUs supported by Arduino at Heart include ATMega328 clocked at 8MHz or 16MHz, ATMega1280 clocked at 16MHz, ATMega2560 clocked at 16MHz, ATMega32U4 clocked at 16MHz and SAM3X.
