What is FlexRay?
| An automotive network communications protocol under development by the FlexRay Consortium. It is considered better than CAN and MOST both in terms of performance and price. Its key features are: 10Mbps data rate, time-triggered behaviour, redundancy, safety, and fault-tolerance. The core member companies of the FlexRay Consortium are BMW, Bosch, DaimlerChrysler, Freescale, GM, Philips and Volkswagen. |
