NEC HSDPA base station adopts Altera low-cost solutions

Tokyo-based NEC Corp. will use Altera Corp.'s Cyclone FPGAs and MAX 3000 CPLDs in their 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) W-CDMA macro base stations that support high-speed downlink packet access (HSDPA).
