Qualcomm Inc. has announced a definitive agreement, "unanimously approved by the boards of directors of both companies," to acquire NXP. Qualcomm will commence a tender offer to acquire all of the issued and outstanding common shares of NXP for ₹7,332.84 ($110) per share in cash, representing a total enterprise value of approximately ₹3.13 lakh crore ($47 billion).

That's bigger than the ₹2.47 lakh crore ($37 billion) Avago-Broadcom deal. Oh, in case you are having a who's who now crisis, here's a quick recap: Softbank is planning to buy ARM for about ₹2.13 lakh crore ($32 billion), Intel acquired Altera for ₹1.11 lakh crore ($16.7 billion) and NXP itself agreed to take over Freescale for ₹78,661.42 crore ($11.8 billion).
