The KILOVAC EV202 DC contactor is built small but tough for military and commercial vehicles and energy storage systems.
TE Connectivity Ltd has a new contactor, the KILOVAC EV202, which it said is compact and built for harsh conditions. In fact, the company claims they are suitable for use in explosive and corrosive environments, EV202 contactors increase flexibility and reliability of military systems.
The double-pole 350A DC contactors are targeted at commercial and military electric ground vehicles, energy and battery storage systems, power distribution and motion control. The contactors feature break levels of 2kA at 270VDC and 700A at 400VDC and are available with 12 or 24 coils to match a wide range of power systems.
In addition to being hermetically sealed, EV202 contactors are available with two optional auxiliary contacts, including bi-directional switching and can mount in any direction. The contactors have an integrated coil economiser with coil suppression that is EMC-compliant.
