Nowadays, the development trends in the vehicle industry, such as the Internet of Vehicles, advanced driver assistance systems, electric vehicles and even autonomous vehicles, rely heavily on complex vehicle electrical equipment and the need of automotive electronics can be forecasted to increase rapidly.
Safety is the fundamental and the key requirement for vehicle systems to ensure the degree of tolerable risk. In response to this requirement, Ansys provides a professional safety analysis tool called Ansys medini analyze to assist in establishing a development process that meets functional safety standards.
In this webinar, firstly, Dr. Chi-Seng Lee will give a brief introduction on the ISO 26262 automotive functional safety standard and the importance of safety analysis techniques in practice. He will also give an overview of Ansys medini analyze. Then the discussion will focus on key topics pertaining to the hardware development in accordance with ISO 26262 Part 5 clauses including hardware safety requirements, hardware metrics including Single-Point Fault (SPFM), Latent Fault Metric (LFM), and Probabilistic Metric of random Hardware Fault (PMHF), Failure Mode, Effects and Diagnostic Analysis (FMEDA), and quantitative Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
